Sri Lankan will play last Twenty20 in Lahore Pakistan



Sri Lanka vs Pakistan cricket to return in Pakistan an Uplifting news just continues wanting the Pakistani cricket devotees as the PCB confirms Sri Lankan cricket team will play last Twenty20 match in Lahore in their tour to Pakistan. In this series there are 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20I.

The 5 match ODI series between the two sides will be played in 3 mega cities of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The initial 2 Twenty20 matches will be played in Abu Dhabi taken after by the third Twenty20 match to occur in Lahore in continuation with the arrival of international cricket following World XI visit to Pakistan.

Sri Lanka has whitewashed Pakistan in Test Series by 2-0. But Pakistan has strikes back with winning 1st One day international match of  five ODI series. One Day Internationals was played on October 13 in which Pakistan has won by 83 runs.


Following the ODIs, the two groups will go head to head in three T20s. Couple of days ago, Sri Lanka’s cricket board endorsed a visit to Pakistan, eight years after a lethal activist assault on the group conveyed top international amusements there to a stop. Driving cricket countries have avoided playing in Pakistan since the assault, in which shooters trapped the Sri Lankan group transport in transit to the Lahore stadium, injuring no less than seven players. Since 2009, the main international cricket team to visit Pakistan is Zimbabwe, who played five restricted overs diversions in Lahore in 2015. Pakistan plays their “home” internationals in the United Arab Emirates or United Kingdom.

If Pakistan successfully organize 3rd Twenty20 in Lahore it will be a definitely big achievement for Chairman PCB Najam Sethi. Two months ago when Najam Sethi was elected for Chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board he said that “Return of International Cricket in Pakistan” is my main objective.

    • Yes it is true! but some Sri Lanka players are still afraid to play in Pakistan. Most Probably there are few players who will not come to Pakistan.
