Sri Lanka to visit Pakistan in September 2017


Sri Lanka Cricket Board is planning to visit in Pakistan for 3 T20 Matches. 8 years after their cricket team was assaulted by some terrorist groups on March 2009. Sri Lankan cricket board have announced a 3 T20 matches and to “Play atleast 1 match in Lahore”

Sri Lanka could be set to come back to Pakistan for an international cricket visit 8 years after a fatal aggressor assault on the group after the national cricket board endorsed plans to visit.

Sri Lanka Cricket Chief Said:  Thilanga Sumathipala our cricket team had been cleared to play 3 T20 internationals after a security appraisal, including “No less than one” in Lahore, scene of the 2009 assault which left eight individuals dead. The arrangement could come when one month from now, albeit any visit would at present require government endorsement before the group is sent to another country.

Sumathipala Said: “We have had our security specialists visit and make an evaluation, and things look positive with things enhancing everywhere throughout the nation and particularly Lahore being cleared. We have 3 T20 diversions coming up against Pakistan in September, and we might want to play no less than one of those amusements in Lahore.”
